Power of Ten: Embracing the River

About This Virtual Meeting

Middle Tennessee is blessed with some great rivers and they can play an important role in developing vibrant communities. This year CRT’s Power of Ten will be exploring how we can get the most out of our riverfront.

Carol Coletta, president of the Memphis River Parks Partnership; Senator Bob Corker, former Mayor of Chattanooga; and Andrew Trueblood, chief planner of Washington DC, will share best practices and examples of how their cities and others have been able to maximize the opportunities presented by their riverfronts

A local panel will explore how we employ the strategies discussed in Middle Tennessee. Panelists include Lucy Kempf, director of Metro Planning; Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts; David Plazas of The Tennessean and Sean Parker of Metro Council.
