Daniel is a litigator and member of the Energy and Natural Resources Industry Team at Frost Brown Todd with nearly a decade of experience serving the energy industry. He primarily represents clients in the renewable, oil and gas, and nuclear energy industries in a variety of business and appellate litigation including contract disputes, real estate litigation, land use and zoning matters, construction disputes and litigation, and mechanics’ lien claims.
Daniel has extensive pre-trial experience and is known for his skilled drafting of pleadings, dispositive and pre-trial motions, and preparation of witnesses for depositions and trial testimony. He has successfully taken and defended numerous depositions, prepared and presented opening and closing statements and direct and cross examination, and drafted several successful appellate briefs.
Daniel currently represents various clients in state and federal courts across Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Prior to his work as a litigator, he practiced as a title attorney, drafting title opinions for oil and gas exploration and production companies.
Daniel serves as Editor of Frost Brown Todd’s Diversity & Inclusion Quarterly Report, on its Diversity Scholarship Committee, and on the Pittsburgh Legal Diversity & Inclusion Coalition.
He also serves on the board of directors of the Bloomfield Development Corporation (“BDC”), the registered community organization representing the neighborhood which he called home for nearly a decade. BDC organizes the Bloomfield Saturday Market, a nationally recognized farmers market serving the East End of Pittsburgh every Saturday during both the summer and winter months.
When not working in service of the needs of his clients and community, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, children and extended family, playing soccer, camping, hiking, and snow skiing.
