Here is the tentative itinerary:

-- James Cleveland (@jacehan): the difference between trivia-style games, where the math leads to the game, and games where the math IS the game

-- John Golden (@mathhombre): the BEST math game ever, Decimal Pickle, Eleusis - an induction game, game making, and quick glance at a framework for evaluating games

-- Elizabeth (@cheesemonkeysf): a practical overview of the Life on the Number Line game to help build conceptual understanding and procedural fluency of real number representations

Speaker Bios:

-- John is a math ed professor at Grand Valley State University working mostly in preparation of K-12 teachers. He is a big believer in the math-games connection,
and uses them in teacher ed classes, regular math classes, and every chance he gets in K-12 classrooms, in particular with Jeff Schiller's 5th grade students the last few years.

-- @Cheesemonkeysf (Elizabeth) teaches Algebra 1, Math Support, and Math Intervention at middle school in the SF Bay Area.
