This is an Orange County, CA Roundtable, but it is used to find out what is going on in our industry. There will also be a short meeting prior to the roundtable and program. Conducting a proper interior inspection for substandard conditions in California is important because it helps to identify any potential health and safety hazards in the home, as well as any issues that may affect the home's value or livability. This can include things that may deem the structure uninhabitable. When conducting an interior inspection, inspectors should look for a variety of things, including but not limited to the following:

    - Signs of water damage or leaks, such as stains on walls or ceilings
    - Lack of utilities
    - Pest infestations, such as holes in walls or droppings
    - Electrical and plumbing issues, such as frayed wires or leaks
    - Proper ventilation and insulation
    - Safety hazards, such as exposed wiring or faulty smoke detectors
    - Compliance with building codes and zoning regulations

It is also important to note that California has its own set of regulations and codes that may require specific inspections such as Lead-Based Paint, Asbestos, Radon, etc. Therefore, the inspector should be knowledgeable about the state regulations and codes. This course will teach you the basics of conducting an inspection, from customer service to inspection.
