Its high corrosion resistance and hardness, combined with the uniform thickness distribution of the deposit, make electroless nickel plating an ideal coating for extending the life of high-value components used in various industries such as automotive, oil and gas, heavy machinery, consumer electronics, military/aerospace and medical equipment.

It is therefore not surprising that this process has been successfully used commercially for many decades. Given this mature technology, one might assume that its application would be an easy task. However, to ensure the highest level of quality in a cost-effective production environment, the process must be operated within controlled parameters using best practices and an optimized plating line configuration.

Over the past 50 years, Atotech has acquired extensive expertise in electroless nickel plating, not only through our own process development, but more importantly through close cooperation with our customers. As a result, we have acquired a broad application knowledge that enables us to be a very competent partner for the industry and to help achieve optimal plating results.

In this webinar on "Best practice for electroless nickel plating" we have bundled all our experience and Udo Zeishold and Shakeel Akhtar are looking forward to share their comprehensive knowledge in electroless nickel plating with you.
  • What is electroless nickel and how is it used
  • What equipment is required
  • Overview on process chemistry
  • How to replenish and control
  • Pretreatment of the substrate
  • What is the right EN process for you
