Vice Chair, Medical Physics
Dr. Low is the Vice Chair of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of California at Los Angeles. Before joining UCLA in 2010, he was a professor and Director of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Washington University. He earned his PhD in Physics in 1988 from Indiana University and was a postdoctoral fellow for two years in radiation therapy physics at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Therapy Physics. He has been principal investigator on 5 National Institutes of Health R01 grants and has published more than 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
