This webinar will focus on helping counselors become more familiar with and equipped for providing trauma-informed care in a support group setting. Participants will learn basic principles, techniques, and concepts to assist them in leading support groups for trauma processing and care.

  • Gaining commitment from each group member
  • Establishing a safe and stable environment for group members
  • Cultivating effective group discussion
  • Combining psychoeducational and biblically-based counseling techniques
  • Utilizing specific approaches with group members to foster greater awareness of trauma impacts and techniques for ongoing growth
