Gray literally grew up in the convenience store industry with the opening of the family’s first convenience store in 1963. Involved in the family business, comprised of 87 stores, he gained experience in all phases of convenience store and chain retail operations.

Gray has been involved on a variety of projects, including heading global product management for three of the world’s largest retail petroleum equipment and systems suppliers and Vice President of Research & Technology for the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). Gray managed product portfolios that included payment platforms for EMV migration markets from Malaysia to Canada, as well as mobile/RFID payments initiatives. Gray also established NACS’ card payments program which saved the industry $60M in its first year of operations, and currently serves over 1,500 stores, doing 100m transactions annually.

David Konynenbelt is Retail IT Manager/CIO at Shell Canada, responsible for IT project delivery, operations and support at over 1350 Shell Branded Retail locations. With over 21 years of experience at Shell in a variety of Business and IT roles he has developed a deep and historical knowledge of Site Operations, Fuels Marketing and Retail Site Systems.

In 2019, he lead the development and market launch of the Shell “EasyPay” mobile payment solution, delivering an industry-leading, frictionless payment and loyalty experience to Shell customers across Canada. David has a passion for technology and is shaping the future at Shell Canada by ensuring they make smart investments in enabling technology.

VP Worldwide Convenience Fuel Retail, Zynstra, an NCR Company
Eric is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of technology experience in the convenience fuel retail sector. He was with Radiant Systems for more than a decade focused on the sale of the Radiant POS solution before becoming part of NCR following their acquisition of Radiant. More recently he has spent the past few years with Zynstra, a virtualization software company specializing in retail that is also now part of NCR. Eric’s team is focused on selling and enabling the NCR Software Defined Store solution for the convenience store industry worldwide.
