Did you know that there are endocannabinoid receptors in skin cells, or that you can get systemic relief from transdermal topical application?

Cannabis-infused lotions, salves, oils, sprays, and other transdermal methods of relief work by binding to cannabinoid receptors. These receptors are found throughout the body, including the skin, and are activated either by the body's naturally-occurring endocannabinoids or by cannabis compounds known as cannabinoids.

Cannabinoids can be applied to the skin in two distinct methods: topical and transdermal. Topical products act locally and are not meant to enter the bloodstream. Whereas, transdermal topicals have a carrier agent that penetrates the skin to enter the bloodstream, allowing effects on the whole body for systemic results.

Join our guest speaker Alisha Diaz from Liquid Flower and the Silver Cannabis Club for a presentation on how topicals work with the endocannabinoid system and the difference between the two types of products.
