Danielle Visone is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Tidewell Hospice. Danielle received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 and her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work in 2016 both from Florida Gulf Coast University. Danielle’s passion for social workwas sparked through her own loss as a child, when her dad died from anaplastic thyroid cancer in 2001. She was inspired by social workers who made an impact on her life and supported her through her grief journey. Danielle’s loss allowed her to find meaning in working to serve grieving children and families. Her career began with assisting with the launch of a grass roots children’s grief center in Fort Myers and directing the programming for two years. Currently Danielle leads the Blue Butterfly Family Grief Center at Tidewell Hospice providing grief and bereavement counseling and support to children and families in the surrounding four counties. Danielle has been recognized for her dedication to the children’s grief mission and to community service. She was named 40 under 40 by the Naples Herald in 2017, the 2019 Soaring Eagle by Florida Gulf Coast University and is a graduate of Leadership Manatee Class of 2019.
