Power control in the new energy landscape is a hot topic, with decentralized power and feed-in management subject to increasing scrutiny and regulation. In the European Union, proposed regulatory changes are becoming enforced in more countries, as compliance testing moves to certification.

The Network Code on the Requirements for Generators (NC RfG) simplifies commissioning and connection, though each country has its own final implementation requirements with TSOs and DSOs able to contribute towards control parameter directions.

In this pv magazine Webinar, Phoenix Contact will present insights into the need for power control, and regulatory and certification requirements across different EU member states including those that require certification and those that are phasing in the changes. Control functionalities and the interface with energy-off takers will also be addressed. And, in addition, case studies and real example schematics from recently certified projects that Phoenix Contact has completed in the EU will be discussed, with more than 1 GWp of plant capacity already being controlled. A Q&A round will follow the presentations.
