Brian is a Fellow member of the ACCA, and a registered member of the Public Accountants and Auditors Board in Zimbabwe. He is a Certificant of the Institute of Risk Management IRM and holds an MBA from the University of Derby in the U.K. Brian has also completed the CISA qualification. He also holds the ACCA’s post Graduate Certificate in International Auditing and a certificate in IPSAs. Brian is also a Balanced Scorecard Certified Professional.

Brian has worked extensively holding managerial positions in both commercial and academic institutions. He has taught and designed courses in finance, governance, auditing and was the head of Corporate training and consultancy at one of the largest training institutions in Botswana. He also served on the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants technical committee providing input to support the development of accounting standards for practitioners in Botswana and as a Board Member of the Public Accountants and Auditors Board in Zimbabwe PAAB.

In South Africa, Brian has worked as a facilitator for the Workwise Training Network writing finance modules and training key client s such as Harmony Gold, Altech Netstar, Investec, FNB Cash. In Botswana, Brian has provided training and facilitation on the Balanced Scorecard strategy for the Office of the President.

Brian was most recently the Head of Portfolio for ACCA Southern Africa looking after markets in Mauritius, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and Malawi. He is now the founder and lead consultant for Abilitude Professional Solutions a consultancy Firm based in Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and South Africa.
