• demonstrate how to integrate First Nations, Métis and Inuit histories, cultures, and perspectives for Grades 7 to 8 learners in the literacy classroom
• explore a variety of literacy strategies and authentic texts that support Read Aloud, Shared Reading, Guided Reading, and Independent Reading
• develop knowledge and understanding of First Nations, Métis and Inuit education as addressed in the curriculum

Donna is Métis and a proud Cree from the One Arrow First Nation. With 28 years’ experience as an Indigenous educator, Donna brings a strong understanding of literacy and storytelling from an Indigenous perspective.
