The session will provide an opportunity for the participants to learn about Peer Programs: Rational, start-up, maintenance, and evaluation. The session will introduce the participates to the National Association of Peer Program Professionals Programmatic Standards and Ethics. It is important for participants to understand the WHY PEER LEADERSHIP, steps to follow for a Peer-Led program, and how to assist professional teachers and safety professionals maintain and evaluate programs.

Judith A. Tindall, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist and consultant. She is president of National Association of Peer Program Professionals (NAPPP). She has written the following books: Evaluation of Peer and Prevention Peer Program: A Blueprint for Success; An In-Depth look at Peer Programs second edition, Peer Power Book 1: Becoming an Effective Peer Helper and Conflict Mediator, fourth edition, Peer Power, Book 2, Applying Peer Helping Skills, Third Edition: Peers Helping Peers Program for the Preadolescent and Leaders Manual; 3R's of Feeling: Receiving, Reflecting and Responding. She assisted the NTHSA in evaluating three projects and the FFA for creating a national evaluation model and needs assess for their programs. She has helped to develop the Zero Tolerance for Underage Drinking and Driving, seatbelt, drowsy driving curriculum.
