How should athletes provide their whereabouts information and what are the consequences of missing an out-of-competition test? What are the functions of ADAMS and the new Athlete Central? WADA Deputy Chief Operating Officer Stuart Kemp, ITA Head of Testing Matteo Vallini and three-time Olympian Mikel Thomas will answer all these questions in the final webinar of the series.

Deputy Chief Operating Officer - World Anti-Doping Agency
Stuart Kemp is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer at the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). In his current role, Stuart contributes toward monitoring of Code compliance and Anti-Doping program development; he is also responsible for the re-development of ADAMS. Previously, Stuart has been a member of World Anti-Doping Code and International Standard for Testing and Investigations drafting teams. Throughout his career, Stuart has managed WADA’s pre-Games testing and was a member of numerous WADA Independent Observer and advisory programs. Prior to joining WADA, Stuart worked with the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport in Ottawa. Stuart holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Development, and a Master’s degree in Human Kinetics.

Head of Testing - International Testing Agency
Matteo Vallini is employed at the ITA since its creation as Head of Testing and is in charge of testing activities for both International Federations and Major Events. His career in anti-doping started over 14 years ago on the field as a Doping Control Officer. He then joined the CADF in Switzerland and lead anti-doping activities provided by the Doping-Free Sport Unit within the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF). He also chaired the Games’ time taskforce and oversaw testing activities at the Winter Olympic Games PyeongChang 2018, at the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 and finally at the Youth Winter Olympic Games Lausanne 2020.

Three-time Olympian , Hurdler
Mikel Thomas is a three-time Olympian and national record holder in athletics (110m hurdles) who has represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games. Off the track, Mikel served in his community as a firefighter and an NCAA athletics coach in the US. He is in the process of completing a Master’s Degree at the International Academy of Sport Science and Technology (AISTS) and is also preparing to make his fourth Olympic Games appearance in Tokyo next summer. Throughout his athletic career, Mikel has used ADAMS to provide whereabouts information and regularly undergoes Doping Control both in- and out-of-competition.

Olympian, Education Manager - International Testing Agency
Olya is a Canadian Olympian who competed at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games in the sport of fencing. Olya holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in Canada and is in the process of completing a Master's Degree in Olympic Studies. After retiring from sport, Olya worked at the Canadian Olympic Committee on Olympian marketing, legacy and education programs. In 2019, Olya joined the International Testing Agency in a role of the Education Manager.
