Bob Carroll joined MassMutual as Head of Workplace Distribution effective November 2018 and reports to Theresa Hassara, Head of Workplace Solutions.

Bob joins MassMutual from John Hancock where he served as vice president of National Sales. He brings a wealth of experience with more than 20 years of developing and leading high-yielding sales strategies across a variety of markets.

In his most recent role at John Hancock, Bob spearheaded the company’s strategy for retirement plan product development, marketing, and product distribution. In his tenure at John Hancock, he also held a number of regional sales leadership roles as well as led financial reporting for large institutional, qualified retirement plans such as Harris Bank and Trust in Chicago.

As head of Workplace Distribution, Bob is responsible for developing and executing the workplace distribution strategy, driving revenue and growing our share of the retirement and worksite markets as we position ourselves to become a leading provider of the holistic solutions our customers now demand.

In addition to driving sales, Bob manages relationships with internal and external distribution channels, to create product awareness and enhance overall client satisfaction in an effort to help more Americans secure their future and protect the ones they love.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Administration from Illinois State University and Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.

He resides with his wife, Angela and children in Scituate, MA.

Teresa has 32 years of experience in financial services, with the majority of that time being spent with three companies: Bankers Trust, Fidelity Investments and, most recently, TIAA, where she led the company's Institutional Retirement business serving more than 16,000 higher education, state government and other nonprofit organizations. Her deep industry expertise includes executive roles encompassing all aspects of relationship management and service delivery as well as in strategy & planning, product & services management, customer loyalty analytics and participant education and advisory solutions for clients in both the public and private sector.

Beyond retirement, Teresa has led HR & Payroll outsourcing, investment marketing & measurement, and investment product development, both in the US and abroad. As a business leader she is passionate about building engaged, diverse and inclusive teams who share a commitment to delighting clients by improving financial outcomes for plan sponsors and their participants. In particular, Teresa is dedicated to ensuring that that employees at every level and of every background have an equal opportunity to become financially secure for their entire post-work lifetime. Teresa is committed to education in the retirement area and beyond.

A fervent supporter of both financial literacy and women’s leadership, she championed TIAA’s Woman-to-Woman Financial
Empowerment Series, and sponsored TIAA’s Women’s Employee Resource Group. She is a familiar speaker at both industry and general leadership workshops and events.

In addition, she has been involved with nonprofit organizations such as Jobs for the Future and City Year. Her own formal education took place at Vanderbilt University, where she received her BA, and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her MBA. Teresa lives in Carlisle, MA with her husband Mike. They have four children - Ben, Allie, Caroline, and Hannah. As a family they love to travel, ski, hike and cook.

Head of Mid & Institutional Client Management
Una is a Senior Vice President of MassMutual Financial Group and Head of Institutional Markets and Worksite Client Management within MassMutual WorkPlace Solutions. In her role, Una has accountability for the lifecycle of the customer experience leading the new business, account and relationship management teams. Una is responsible for ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention driven by superior strategic and tactical execution. Una and her teams are focused on plan installations and ongoing plan management for retirement and voluntary benefits with an emphasis on delivering consultative solutions to ensure that we are helping plan participants with their overall financial wellness before and at retirement.

Una joined MassMutual in 1996 and has spent her career in the Retirement Plan arena with over 27 years of industry experience. Una has held several roles at MassMutual, all client facing, and has been recognized for her leadership and passion centered on constantly elevating the customer’s experience at MassMutual.

Una holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in European Studies from the University of Limerick in Ireland. She also holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 24 & 63 registrations, and is a Retirement Plans Associate of the International Foundation for Employee Benefit Plans. She is also a member of the Board of Advisors for Loyalty360.

Una lives in East Longmeadow, MA with her husband Lou, and two children Leah and Louie.

Head of Emerging Client Management
Sean Jordan joined MassMutual in 2004. As the leader of the Emerging Client Management group, Sean is accountable for the lifecycle of the customer experience leading the new business, account management and client engagement management teams. He also oversees the Participant Transition Services Team. Sean’s group proactively engages, educates and ultimately enables plan participants, fostering better savings and investing behaviors and delivering superior retirement outcomes.

Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Jordan worked for the MMFG Chief Financial Officer as a consultant for MassMutual’s Capital Markets Group. In that capacity, he was responsible for enterprise financial analysis, capital forecast modeling, and rating agency support.

Prior to joining MassMutual, Mr. Jordan was a commissioned officer in the Unites States Navy. Mr. Jordan served ten years as a naval aviator, flying the EA-6B ‘Prowler’ aircraft, assigned to electronic Attack Squadron 130 (VAQ-130). He made two deployments to the Arabian Gulf aboard USS ENTERPRISE and USS HARRY S. TRUMAN. He is a veteran of more than 30 combat missions over Iraq and completed 350 carrier landings. His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal with combat “V” device, the Strike Flight Air Medal and the Navy Achievement Medal.

Mr. Jordan holds an MBA from Cornell University and a BA from Tulane University. He also holds FINRA Series 6 and 26 registrations.

He resides with his wife and four children in East Longmeadow, MA.
