Federal Program Manager
Jeff Langloss has worked in the transportation industry since the mid-1980s. He started out as an over-the-road truck driver and enjoyed the time seeing the country. He then went on to be an instructor at a community college and taught many different classes, including Hazardous Material Regulations, Federal Safety Regulation, Defensive Driving to the public and trucking driving students, Commercial Motor Vehicle inspection class, and How to obtain your Commercial Driver License. He began his work with the government when he joined The Office of Motor Carriers now FMCSA in 1997. He was an investigator in Kentucky for 10 years, he became the Federal Program Manager for the Texas Division in 2007. While with FMCSA he has worked on many different projects but has also continued in teaching and developing classes to promote Safety.

Allen Boyd is an over-the-road driver for Walmart Transportation, and has been a professional truck driver for over 40 years. Allen has accumulated over 3.1 million accident-free miles. Each month, Allen speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, industry officials, and policy makers about highway safety and the economic essentiality of the trucking industry. Allen was named Walmart Transportation’s Driver of the Year in 2007 for the Mount Crawford Distribution Center. He is a Charter member of the Walmart Road Team and has received the company’s 1,000,000 Accident-Free Mile Award. Allen is a Driver Trainer and serves on the Walmart Accident Review and Driver Planning Committees. He also serves as a Store Ambassador. Allen has 18 years of experience in pulling oversize loads, and is active in his local Boy Scout chapter and the Cove Lions Club. Allen lives in Everett, Pennsylvania. He has two children and a grandson.

Mr. Alphonso “Al” Lewis is a local driver for Yellow and has been a professional truck driver for 31 years. Over the course of his career, Alphonso has accumulated over 2 million accident-free miles. He is a local driver for Yellow. Al is a frequent competitor at the National Trucking Driving Championships, earning the title of Grand Champion in 2007 where he also placed first in his division. Then in 2019, Al received 3rd place in his class. At the Alabama Truck Driving Championships, he has finished first in his division seven times and was named Grand Champion in 2005. Al participates in the Professional Freight Handlers Championships where he has four; first place finishes at the district level and earned the title of National Champion in 2001. He was runner-up for Alabama Driver of the Year in 2007. He was Yellow Destination Green Award winner in 2011 and one of two inaugural Yellow Hall of Fame Inductee’s in 2012. Al has served on his terminal’s Injury Prevention Council since 2000 is a certified smith system trainer. Recently, Al has been selected to serve on the Alabama Board of Trustees for the Alabama Trucking Association. He is a church trustee, assistant Class Leader and a church Lay Council member. Al has led the truck convoy for Wreaths Across America and got to participate in the 2019 Transition Trucking: Driving for Excellence award ceremony. In his free time, Al enjoys racquetball, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his wife, Regina, and their two children in Montgomery, Alabama.
