    Bob Denison
Owner at Denison Yacht Sales - Panelist
Bob Denison was born at Broward General, in Fort Lauderdale, the day after it last snowed in this town, January 20, 1977.Since that cold, dreary day, Bob has accomplished only 3 things worth bragging about: 1) He was the Marlins first bat boy; 2) He married the prettiest girl alive, Daniella Chisholm; 3) He somehow figured out how to have kids: Rivers, Nora and, Summer.Of much lesser importance, Bob now runs Denison Yachting, which employs 150+ of the best people the marine industry has ever known. These good people work in 22 offices across the U.S. Denison sells and charters about 750 yachts annually, which might sound impressive, but really isn’t when compared to the great things Bob’s grandparents, parents, and uncles accomplished before him.Back in 1948, Frank & Gertrude Denison visited Fort Lauderdale while on their honeymoon and decided to plant roots, buying a local business and renaming it Broward Marine. This business went on to build minesweepers and other military vessels to support U.S. and Allied Forces, and later built private yachts, at one point becoming the largest employer in Fort Lauderdale.Broward Marine built more private yachts over 80’ than any boat-builder in the world in the 20th Century. When Bob talks about ‘standing on the shoulders of giants’, he really means it. He would be homeless if it wasn’t for the support of those that went before him: Frank, Gertrude, Kit, Ann, Skip and Ken Denison

    Grant Henderson
Sales Director, Americas at Baglietto SpA - Moderator
I was born and raised in Madison, WI. I attended Lawrence University in Appleton, WI where I received a BA in History and played all 4 years for the hockey team. Following graduation in 2002 I moved to south FL and immediately got into the yachting industry.

After a short stint pumping fuel at Miami Beach Marina I got aboard a 93' Westship where I worked as a 1st Mate for almost two years while traveling the Bahamas, east coast of FL and Canada. After 2 years of traveling I got my broker's license in 2004 and started with 4Yacht, Inc. I spent 5 years with them and then moved on to Ocean Alexander to sell new boats. I only spent a year there and have since been with yachtBlue / Sanlorenzo of the Americas. I am extremely happy with my position, coworkers and the product we get to represent.

I've been married for three and a half years and my wife and I live in Rio Vista. We have a 20 month old boy named Colin that is truly a blessing. I have been a member of Young Professionals in Yachting for 7 years, Downtown Ft. Lauderdale Rotary for 8 years and my wife and I started a networking group a four years ago that is comprised of 18 individuals all from different professional backgrounds and of the same age range. In addition, I currently sit as the Vice-Chairman to the Marine Advisory Board for the City of Ft. Lauderdale. Taking a more active role within the IYBA is important to me as I want to assist in any fashion to making our industry as great as it possibly can be. Being an integral member of my community and my profession is something I strive for as I plan on growing within both over the course of my life.
