Consultant in Respiratory Integrated Care Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Medicines Optimisation Co-Lead – NHS London Respiratory Network
Dr Vincent Mak is a Consultant in Respiratory Integrated Care at Imperial College Healthcare Trust. He was a Consultant in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine in North West London Hospitals Trust from 1994 to 2013. He was also the Clinical Director of the Outer NWL Integrated Care Program, and then the Whole Systems Integrated Care. He was a core member of the NHS London Respiratory Team and Clinical Network from 2010-2016. He was the NW London Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians.
Until recently, he was the Clinical Director of the NHS London Respiratory Clinical Network formed to implement the NHS Long Term Plan across London and which helped coordinate respiratory services in London during the first surge of the pandemic. He continues in the Network leading the accurate diagnosis and medicines optimisation workstreams. He chairs the NHS London Procurement Partnership Responsible Respiratory Prescribing group and is a member of the Primary Care Respiratory Society Executive Committee.

Darush is a respiratory pharmacist for RightBreathe & NW London CYP Asthma Network
He is Co-Chair of the TaskForce for Lung Health Medicines Optimisation group and part of the PCRS Executive Committee.
He has presented at various national & international conferences (including ERS, IPCRG, PCRS, CPC, Respiratory show) and was asked to help review the National Training Standards for Smoking Cessation. He is an active teacher and follower of the IPCRG Asthma Right Care social movement and enjoys spreading positive messages on how people can live much better with asthma.
Darush has published more than 25 clinical papers and writes teaching modules on various pharmacy platforms. He has been recognised by his healthcare peers at the 2019 PCPA GP Pharmacist awards for excellence.
Darush enjoys running and raising money for respiratory & cardiac charities. One of his main missions is to reduce health inequalities caused by tobacco and poor health care and spends a lot of his time teaching in deprived locations across the UK.

Joanne Hamilton is the Lead Respiratory Nurse for Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust specialising in service redesign, education and training.
She has worked in the NHS for the last 32 years, where she has found her passion in upskilling and supporting the development of Healthcare Professionals in Respiratory Care Management.
Over the last number of years Jo has focused on delivering respiratory service redesign, developing training programmes aligned to the needs of clinicians, and simplification of treatment guidelines and patient pathways so they are easily adopted by Primary Care.
She won the Health Service Journal vision Award for Dudley, this was for designing an Integrated and collaborative COPD Enhanced Service and pathway across Primary, Community and Secondary Care.
She sits on several NHS Committees within Dudley and the Black Country CCG, including Co-chair of The Black Country Respiratory Medicines Management Subgroup, where she inputs into policy decisions and implementation into GP Practices and NHS organisations with the focus being to empower and enable patients to live their lives to the max.
