Student motivation in exam preparation classes by Sarah Gaylard
To pass an exam, students need to believe they can pass, and they need to know how to pass. How can the teacher create an environment that supports these needs? Exam preparation can feel tedious sometimes, and the goal can seem very narrow. How can the teacher create an environment that supports students' non-exam needs (such as their need to connect, to be seen, to be intellectually stimulated) to help keep students motivated? This live talk will provide some tools to answer these and other key questions.
Supporting your students with exam stress by Rachael Roberts
After a very stressful year around the world, students are already dealing with higher than usual levels of anxiety, and now must also cope with exams and assessment.
In this webinar, we will look at what we can do as teachers to support them through this period. We’ll consider what we can do to help them manage their anxiety, and I'll offer a range of practical suggestions to help our students prioritise, manage their time effectively, deal with procrastination, get organised and feel more in control.
