More than twenty years ago, Eastside business leaders came together and formed the East King Chambers Coalition to advocate for businesses in Olympia. The Coalition brings together ten chambers of commerce-enabling them to speak with a unified voice on legislative issues. The Coalition develops a variety of annual publications and brings lawmakers and business leaders together through events and webcasts.

Senator Lisa Wellman is from Mercer Island and represents the 41st District. She was elected in 2016 after a 25-year career in technology and marketing. A passionate advocate for education, Lisa began her career as a public school teacher and serves as Chair of the Senate Early Learning & K-12 Committee. She also sits on the HIgher Education and Workforce Development Committee, and is a boardmember with Thrive Washington, a nonprofit focused on Early Chilhood Education.

Rep. Tana Senn is from Mercer Island and represents the 41st District, and serves as Chair of the House Human Services and Early Learning Committee and on the Appropriations Committee. She also acts as Co-Chair of the Oversight Board for the newly created Department of Children, Youth and Family Services. Before coming to the Legislature, Tana was a member of the Mercer Island City Council, serves on the Board of Hopelink and previously with the Board of the Mercer Island Youth & Family Services Foundation.

Rep. Carolyn Eslick represents the 39th District of Snohomish & Skagit Counties, and was first elected in 2018. She hales from Sultan, where she served nine years as mayor. Carolyn operated a restaurant for over twenty years, and founded and helped run GroWashington, a business development and retail incubator. She also served as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club, and is Assistant Ranking Republican on the House Human Services and Early Learning Committee.

Founder, Eastside Education Network
Beth Sigall is the founder of Eastside Education Network. Her passion for education advocacy was sparked in 2002 when her oldest son was diagnosed with autism. Her work includes helping secure passage of a first-in-the-nation law to support para-educators in Washington state. She is an attorney with a background in special education law and for the past 10 years has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children in King County Superior Court.
