Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was established in 1981 by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) to meet the growing demand for management education. In 2003, NMIMS was declared a ‘Deemed to be University’, accredited by NAAC with 3.59 CGPA and Grade A+ in the 3rd cycle (Mumbai Campus).

BBSA is a fully developed constituent school of NMIMS Deemed-to-be-University with solid academic and resource base, modern facilities and infrastructure.
Our Mission is to Explore the “Process of Design”. We learn from the past to envision the future, redefine, enhance and integrate the present and constantly evolve. BBSA envisions Future Friendly Design Professionals who will accept and evolve with ever-changing global parameters of cultures and technologies creating sustainable and aesthetic architectural environments. We emphasize on behavioural sciences, tools and techniques, and assimilate all in contemporary design expression. The School offers a holistic exposure and understanding through Art, History, Technology, Architectural Design and Construction process.

About Centre for Interior-Environment & Design

In 2018, the CIED was initiated as a natural direction to continue its design philosophy to the scale of Interior Environments.
The practice of Interior Design is an extremely relevant profession in today's urbanized environments. Interior Spaces within dense urban environments need to be resource-sensitive and environmentally balanced to accommodate varieties of human activities that would take place within. The design of Interior Spaces plays an important role in creating multifunctional platforms where people experience new cultural and social scenarios. It reflects the behaviours, habits and interests of people as to how we live, work, play and gather.

At CIED, we have evolved into a platform for experimentation for multi-scalar design ranging from furniture to interior to adaptive reuse projects that give the students insights into future trajectories of the profession.
