    Brad Rogers
    Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Staff at TIAA
    Brad Rogers is the Chief Operations Officer and Chief of Staff for Law, Government Relations, Regulatory Affairs, and Corporate Secretary at TIAA. For more than a decade at TIAA, he has been driving the design and execution of game-changing capabilities and business disciplines across the enterprise. Currently, he is responsible for transforming the entire legal and operations function including the operating model, staffing plan, technology roadmap, vendor strategy (including offshore and outside counsel) and, employee culture and engagement.

    In his previous role at TIAA as the Operational Excellence Leader for Asset Management, he led a radical reinvention and major re-engineering of the alternative asset business, delivering innovative operating capabilities and infrastructure for the Global Real Estate investing business, helping to propel it to #2 in the world, more than tripling assets under management, including assets from global institutional investors.

    He also designed and built world-class organic growth processes – the product management, new product development, and innovation capabilities across the entire firm. These were later described in a best-selling book, and was mentioned on the cover (The Product Manager’s Handbook, 4th Ed., by Linda Gorchels). Brad was also a visiting instructor at the University of Wisconsin’s Executive School of Business for five years, teaching innovation and product development practices to executives from companies around the world.

After graduation, Prof. Verma spent seven years practicing in the environmental field at Pillsbury Winthrop and Farella Braun + Martell. In 2012, he transitioned into a legal consulting role at Axiom Global, where he spent over six years supporting Silicon Valley’s largest technology companies on legal department strategy. He currently works in a legal strategy/operations role at Facebook.

    Chris Young
    General Counsel at Ironclad
    Chris is General Counsel at Ironclad, Inc., the venture-backed startup that helps in-house lawyers create, automate, and track their contracts—all from one intuitive, powerful platform. He draws on his years of experience as a corporate attorney and public servant to help shape and carry out the strategic vision of the company. As the company’s chief counsel, he is responsible for a broad range of legal, regulatory, and policy matters.

    Chris spent most of his career between private law practice, politics, and government. Following law school, he worked as a litigator at the SF-based law firm, Morrison Foerster. After litigating a high-profile educational inequality case, he took a leave of absence to join the 2008 Obama campaign as the Deputy Finance Director of NorCal. Shortly after the President was elected, Chris returned to his hometown Sacramento to serve as the Mayor's Senior Advisor & Counsel, before moving to DC to join the Obama Administration. Following stints in both the White House and Department of Justice, Chris moved back to the Bay Area and joined the law firm of Keker, Van Nest & Peters.

    After four years at KVP, Chris left to join OpenGov as its Head of Business Development & Counsel. After OpenGov, Chris spent three years at GoFundMe serving as their General Counsel. While there, he became the Co-Founder of the Direct Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) NPO, dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by natural and manmade disasters and social movements like TIME’S UP and Equal Pay Day. To date, the charity has raised over $33 million from over 180,000 donors.
