Founder of Food Allergy Aware
Food Allergy Aware an Award-Winning business was founded in 2013 to enable food service businesses to understand and embrace the FreeFrom customer. They develop solutions to give businesses the tools, knowledge and expertise to not only manage the regulations, but go the extra mile to the next level and offer a positive customer journey to the FreeFrom diner. They offer bespoke auditing services which assist with compliance for company policies and to raise standards.
Caroline and colleague Sally Trice developed the resources for the RSPH level 2 Food Allergen Management Training, and they also develop bespoke inhouse workshops for clients appropriate to their operation. In addition, offer food safety & health and nutritional training. In both areas they offer consultancy and auditing services. Recently they have developed PPDS webinars for the IOH & Mastering Allergen Management training for SOFHT.
Caroline has produced articles for many industry publications including Garden Centre Forum, Public Sector Catering and The Caterer, she has also spoken at events on the topics of Food Allergy Awareness with the food service industry.

Director for Wales, CIEH
Kate joined the CIEH in June 2017, prior to her appointment she was Head of Local Authority Support and Audit at FSA Wales where she led on the introduction of a new delivery model for animal feed official controls, reviewed the operation of the mandatory Food Hygiene Rating Scheme and oversaw the Smarter Communications project which transformed how the FSA communicates with local authorities in Wales.   

Since her appointment Kate has focused on furthering links with external stakeholders and strengthening joint working with CIEH colleagues across the nations. She is currently a member of the working group set up at the request of the Minister for Social Services and Public Health to provide them with assurance that Wales’ needs are taken account of within the FSA’s Regulating Our Future programme.
