Are Local Grains The Key to Nigeria Food Independence?

ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Nigeria imports large volume of grain to feed the growing population.
The heavy dependence on imports to sustain food production has
become a major concern. This may not be the sustainable way to curb
the food insecurity that threatens the bulging population of over 200
million people.

The Nigerian government continues to strive towards food security
policies including food import bans. This is not a task for the public
sector alone, but everyone must be committed toward securing a
sustainable food production chain for Nigeria’s future.

Local grains are already the cornerstone of our traditional meals. The
question is, how much have we underrated and undervalued them?
Join us in this webinar as we discuss the overwhelming opportunities
that local grains offer, what is the future for local grains in Nigeria food
production and what is their role in Nigeria’s Food Independence
