MDE Coronavirus Funding Two-Day Workshop on Construction and other Capital Projects

About This Virtual Two-Day Workshop

EDGAR and the UGG continue to be updated, with recent UGG changes finalized by the Office of Management and Budget in August 2020, and the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in new funding streams for States and districts, such as the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) fund. During two days of virtual training, the Firm will cover compliance issues in using ESSER and other coronavirus funding for capital projects, including construction, and the related federal requirements that must be met.

Day 1 of the training will walk attendees through the various funding streams available for construction projects, and the applicable programmatic requirements. Day 2 of the training will focus on the cross-cutting requirements that apply, including, but not limited to, the federal procurement considerations, federal construction regulations within EDGAR, and the Davis Bacon wage requirements. There will be dedicated time for questions and answers at the end of each session.
