The EIOPA guidelines on outsourcing to cloud service providers apply to all cloud outsourcing arrangements entered into, reviewed or amended on or after 1 January 2021. Insurance companies are obliged to review and amend all existing outsourcing arrangements by 31 December 2022 at the latest. As this deadline is approaching, KPMG has launched a survey in several European countries to see if companies are well prepared and to identify obstacles and major gaps in becoming compliant.
