Savita Subramanian
Head of U.S. Equity & Quantitative Strategy, Bank of America Securities
Savita Subramanian, managing director, is head of U.S. Equity and Quantitative Strategy for BofA Global Research. Based in New York, she is responsible for determining forecasts for the S&P 500, recommending U.S. sector allocations for equities, and developing the firm’s quantitative equity strategy. She markets these materials to institutional, corporate and individual clients on a regular basis.

Subramanian spearheaded and continues to play an active role in BofA Global Research Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) efforts and is the co-chair of the Global Research Diversity & Inclusion Committee.

A frequent commentator and guest host on media outlets, Subramanian has been ranked in Institutional Investor’s surveys since 2011 and ranked in the top three in Portfolio Strategy, Quantitative Research and ESG Strategy. She has been named by Barron’s in its annual list of the 100 Most Influential Women in U.S. Finance for four consecutive years, since its inception in 2021, and was recently recognized by Bloomberg Businessweek on its Ones to Watch list.

Subramanian joined Merrill Lynch in 2001 as an associate on the Research team. She started her career as an analyst at Scudder Kemper Investments in New York and San Francisco.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy from University of California at Berkeley and earned an MBA from Columbia University. Subramanian sits on the advisory board of UCLA’s Anderson School of Management and is active in recruiting across her alma mater and a broad array of universities.
