Andy Addison

Andy Addison is editor and publisher of The Institutional View, a technical advisory service for portfolio managers and traders.
A graduate of Amherst College, Andy began his career at Shawmut County bank in Cambridge, Mass. He later moved to Shawmut Bank of Boston, where he managed T-Bill and municipal-bond trading accounts. He left the bank in 1980 to start a retail investment advisory service, The Addison Report, focusing on the stock and gold markets. In 1985 he launched The Institutional View, and ran the institutional research service until joining Fidelity in 2003. At Fidelity, Andy served as a senior technical analyst at the mutual-fund company, and later, as director of technical analysis at Fidelity Institutional Asset Management.
Andy left Fidelity in 2015 and resumed publishing the Institutional View, now a global product providing technical analysis of domestic and global equities, commodities, and currencies. He is a frequent contributor to Barron's.
