Abby covered the credit markets and money management industry for Dow Jones newswires in New York before freelancing and consulting for several years mostly on personal finance and other business and financial topics. Before rejoining Dow Jones, she was an editor in Hong Kong at IFR Asia, a Thomson Reuters publication focused on the capital markets.

Vanessa Conlin
Master of Wine, Wine Access
Vanessa became the 53rd Master of Wine in the US. She has worked in the wine business for 13 years, serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for several of Napa’s most prestigious estates including Arietta Wines, Dana Estates, and Realm Cellars. Previously she was the wine buyer for two prominent Manhattan wine retailers and the Wine Director for a Manhattan-based wine bar. She now resides in Napa Valley and is the Head of Wine. While studying for the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET) Diploma she received the Niki Singer Memorial Scholarship from the International Wine Center. Vanessa worked as a professional opera singer, performing internationally and on Broadway, before falling in love with wine. She holds a master’s degree in music. She is a frequent speaker at industry events such as the Luxury Wine Marketing Council, and has given lectures at Harlan Estate, the Napa Valley Reserve, and the Plumpjack Group. She is a certified WSET instructor and teaches frequently at the Napa Valley Wine Academy.
