Abby Schultz
Senior Writer, Barron's Penta
Abby Schultz is a senior writer for Penta, a Barron’s Group publication for wealthy individuals and families covering wealth management and philanthropy, as well as trends in collecting and owning art and wine, among other luxury goods. Sean Vereen
President, Steppingstone Scholars
Sean Vereen, Ed.D., has been the President of Steppingstone Scholars since 2013. Under Sean’s leadership, Steppingstone has launched several innovative new programs and strategic partnerships, which have increased the organization’s impact and scope. Today, Steppingstone serves 2,500 students, a 300% increase during his tenure.

A noted thought leader in educational pedagogy and racial, social, and economic inequities within the educational system, Dr. Vereen served as Vice Chair of the Mayor’s Education Nominating Board for the School District of Philadelphia’s Board of Education and is a member of Johns Hopkins (Hopkins) Access Advisory Board, a national advisory board working with Hopkins’ Undergraduate Admissions Office to support their efforts to realize the goals of Michael Bloomberg’s $1.8 billion gift to Hopkins to increase the population of low-income and first generation students.

He is also a board member of the Philadelphia School Partnership and a lecturer in the Higher Education Division at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Dr. Vereen received his B.A. from the University of Rochester and his Ed.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jacqueline Rantanen
Managing Director, Hamilton Lane
Jackie is a Managing Director and the Head of Product Solutions at Hamilton Lane, where she is responsible for aligning our specialized funds offerings to meet client objectives and needs.  Jackie is also Co-Head of Hamilton Lane’s Impact Fund and serves as a member of the Investment and Responsible Investment Committees.

Jackie began her career with Hamilton Lane on the Fund Investment Team, and she has held roles in Relationship Management, PR and Marketing. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 1997, Jackie was a Corporate Finance Analyst for Comcast Corporation. Previously, she was a member of the Chemical Division’s Financial Analysis Department for Sunoco, Inc.

Jackie received an M.B.A. from Villanova University and a B.S. from Drexel University.

Garrett R. Wilson
Director, Hirtle Callaghan’s Western Region
Garrett is the Head of Institutional Solutions at Hirtle Callaghan. In his role, he works directly with our non-profit clients to design and execute the customized investment programs that we deliver as an investment office. Garrett has significant expertise helping clients navigate strategic investment decisions, including in-depth planning, asset allocation, investment policy and portfolio construction. Additionally, Garrett specializes in mission-related investing and has played an instrumental role in building out our capabilities in this area.

Prior to joining the firm, Garrett worked across both public and private markets. He began his career in the Global Markets division at Bank of America where he worked with institutional and corporate clients across currencies, interest rates and commodities. While in business school, Garrett worked with DBL Partners, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm focused on blending top-tier financial returns with meaningful social, economic and environmental returns.

Garrett received an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and a B.A. in Government from Georgetown University. Garrett serves on the Board of Directors of Greener Partners. He also serves as a mentor for Darden’s Breakthrough Scholars Program which provides merit-based scholarships to foster a new generation of diverse leadership in asset management.
