Abby Schultz is a senior writer for Penta, a Barron’s Group publication for wealthy individuals and families covering wealth management and philanthropy, as well as trends in collecting and owning art and wine, among other luxury goods. She joined Barron’s in October 2014 as the Penta Wealth Management Editor for Barron’s Asia in Hong Kong.

Abby covered the credit markets and money management industry for Dow Jones newswires in New York before freelancing and consulting for several years mostly on personal finance and other business and financial topics. Before rejoining Dow Jones, she was an editor in Hong Kong at IFR Asia, a Thomson Reuters publication focused on the capital markets.

Global Head of Private Wealth Management Capital Markets, Goldman Sachs
A 23-year veteran of Goldman Sachs, Sara is global head of Private Wealth Management Capital Markets. The team is responsible for the transactional business in Private Wealth Management across asset classes to high net worth individuals and family offices. Sara is also global head of Goldman Sachs Apex, the dedicated family office coverage team that partners with private wealth advisors to deliver a broad suite of investment opportunities and services to family office clients. At Goldman Sachs, Sara is a member of the Partnership Committee, Firmwide Suitability Committee, as well as the Consumer and Wealth Management Inclusion and Diversity Council and Steering Committee. She is also co-head of the Goldman Sachs Consumer and Wealth Management Women's Network and a member of the Goldman Sachs Women's Network Operating Committee.

Previously, Sara was head of the Markets Coverage Group for the Americas. Before that, she structured cross product derivatives for institutional clients of the Emerging Markets desk in the Securities Division for five years. Earlier in her career, Sara was a member of the Single Stock Risk Management team in Equity Derivatives, helping individuals and family offices manage large stock positions. She joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division in 1999 and was named managing director in 2012 and partner in 2020.

Sara was recently elected to the Innocence Project’s Board of Directors, a nonprofit legal organization that is committed to exonerating individuals who have been wrongly convicted, through the use of DNA testing and working to reform the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. Sara earned a BA, cum laude with distinction, in American Studies from Yale College in 1999.
