He is the Executive Director of the Fair Cobalt Alliance (FCA), a programme in the DRC focussing on improving conditions of artisanal cobalt miners and reporting against robust and meaningful indicators and ESG frameworks. Assheton founded The Impact Facility to meet the needs for responsible minerals to power a just energy transition that includes and benefits mining communities and artisanal production of minerals.
He is also the CEO of TDi Sustainability, a consultancy established to support businesses on their path to sustainability.
