Ann C. Gallo
Healthcare Portfolio Manager, Wellington Management
Ann is the investment team leader for the firm’s health care research effort. She manages a number of diversified health care long/short and long-only portfolios, and co-manages a multisector private company investment fund. She joined Wellington Management in 1998, initially specializing in health care services, before expanding her focus to include the medical technology industry in 2008 and biopharmaceuticals in 2013. She is a member of the firm’s Private Equity Oversight Committee, as well as its Hedge Fund Review Group.

Prior to joining Wellington Management, Ann was a sell side healthcare analyst at BT Alex. Brown (1995 – 1998) and at Piper Jaffray (1993 – 1995). She worked in investment banking at Piper Jaffray (1992 – 1993) and at Citibank N.A. (1991 – 1992). She is a former CPA and practiced public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand (1987 – 1989).

Ann received her MS in finance and applied economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management (1991) and her BS in accounting from Boston College (1987).
