About
Rising mortgage rates and a topsy-turvy stock market made for a rocky end of 2022, with luxury real estate softening after two years of accelerated pandemic activity. Although Sun Belt cities are still popular, more traditional luxury locales are starting to emerge as hot markets for high-end buyers, according to the fourth-quarter Emerging Housing Market Index from The Wall Street Journal and Realtor.com. Join Danielle Hale, Realtor.com’s chief economist, Catherine Donaldso of Daniel Ravenel Sotheby's International Realty in the Bluffton and Hilton Head area of South Carolina, and Kristina Quesada, a Douglas Elliman agent based in San Diego for a discussion on emerging markets, real estate trends and what’s ahead in 2023. In conversation with Mansion Global reporter Leslie Hendrickson.
