On September 29, 2020, Visit Kansas City Kansas launched their KCK Taco Trail. The trail lives on a digital mobile-friendly passport powered by Bandwango and features nearly 50 local taquerias. The goal of the trail was to engage visitors and locals in a check-in challenge that would drive diners through the doors of local restaurants who were suffering after pandemic shut downs. In the first month more than 2,500 people had signed up for the passport and more than 1,800 check-ins had been tracked. In this webinar, we discuss the passport’s success and everything leading up to it - from brainstorming the concept to onboarding merchants to media planning.
