About:
Hosted by Austroads in partnership with AAMVA, EReg-EUCARIS and CCMTA, the Global Vehicle Registration and Driver Licensing Summit 2027 is an invitation only international forum designed to strengthen collaboration, share knowledge and advance collective solutions for vehicle registration and driver licensing systems worldwide.
Background:

First held in 2018, the Global Summit was established as a biennial forum. Following a COVID‑related hiatus, the Summits resumed in 2023 under EReg-EUCARIS hosting, with the most recent Summit hosted by AAMVA in 2025. The inaugural Summit directly contributed to the development of the International Standard for Mobile Driver Licences.

What to Expect Section

The four-day program has been designed to support meaningful collaboration, shared learning and practical progress on issues of global importance. Delegates can expect:

- Welcome reception
- 9 facilitated sessions over three days
- Knowledge‑sharing workshops
- Harmonisation and standards discussions
- Data exchange and pilot activity sessions
- Technical tour
- Relationship‑building events including a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise and gala dinner
