This unauthorized three-part series exposes Brooklyn native Daniel Hernandez’s transformation into hip-hop’s most notorious icon, Tekashi 6IX9INE. Featuring testimonies from those who know him best, the series examines his origins and the dangerous, explosive behavior that earned him the title of felon, snitch and troll.

    Karam Gill is a filmmaker and creative director based in Los Angeles. He was named one of Variety Magazine’s Top 10 Documentary Filmmakers to Watch and has won numerous awards for both feature-length and branded content projects. Karam made his directorial debut with G Funk – the untold story of Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg & the rise of hip-hop’s most iconic sub-genre. The film had its World Premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, making Karam the youngest director to have a feature documentary premiere at SXSW (22 years old). Recently, Karam finished the feature-length documentary Ice Cold which uses jewelry to explore deeper themes around materialism and race in hip-hop. The film is executive produced by Migos & Quality Control (releasing 2021). He is also directing a 3 part doc series for Showtime (releasing early 2021), in partnership with Rolling Stone, Lightbox and Imagine Entertainment. Karam’s branded content has 3+ billion views on YouTube and he served as Creative Director for Marshmello, helping write and develop 15+ short films over the past 4 years.

    Emmy Nominated producer Peter J Scalettar got his start in New York’s independent film scene of the early aughts, laying the groundwork for a career that has taken him to over 30 countries to tell the stories that he loves. His body of work spans fiction to non-fiction, commercials to infomercials, taped to live, reality to Reality TV, high budget to no budget, all of which prepared him for the adventure that is SUPERVILLAIN. His films have screened at Sundance, TriBeCa, LA Film Festival, HotDocs and countless others. He has been nominated for an Emmy for writing in nonfiction, and IDA awards for his work as writer and EP on Sacha Jenkins’ WU-TANG CLAN: OF MICS AND MEN. Upcoming projects to release later this year include ICE COLD and DON’T TRY TO UNDERSTAND: A YEAR IN THE LIFE OF EARL “DMX” SIMMONS.
