Joe is a Senior Director at Financial Engines and is responsible for expanding our solutions across a broad range of institutional investors. His primary focus is business development of workplace solutions to plan sponsors. Prior to joining Financial Engines in 2019, Joe held a variety of positions since starting his financial services career at State Street more than 30 years ago. He was part of a team developing solutions to help plan sponsors better serve retirees. Within two years, Joe became the Head of Distribution for both DC and DB services focused on serving the Fortune 1000 market and held similar positions at Mellon/Dreyfus and The Hartford. Joe’s consultative approach with plan sponsors and consultants helped shape many of the unique plan design features today. He has always thought of participants as the customers and that helping individuals achieve financial success is paramount. Joe possesses a deep knowledge of the plan sponsor community, consulting firms, and service providers. His track record of success has been built on his ability to understand complex business requirements and provide advice/guidance to clients. Joe graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Accounting.

Maria is responsible for new business development in the western half of the country, working closely with plan sponsors as well as consultants and advisors. She has been in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years and is passionate about retirement planning and personal finance. Maria re-joined Financial Engines in 2017 after spending nearly 3 years in institutional sales at LearnVest, a Northwestern Mutual company. Prior to LearnVest, Maria was in business development at Financial Engines and began her career as a Registered Sales Assistant at Smith Barney. She is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Business and earned her MBA from Babson College. She is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honor society for business schools. Maria maintains the CRPC designation and is Series 65 licensed.

Keith Lennon is a Relationship Executive in the Workplace group. In this capacity, Keith serves as the primary business owner for some of the largest and/or most complex plan sponsors. He is responsible for building strategic relationships and providing outstanding client service. Before joining Financial Engines in 2018, Keith spent 28 years at Russell Investments in a variety of relationship management, product management and strategy development roles across their retail and institutional businesses. Keith received a bachelor’s degree from Pacific Lutheran University.
