Joseph Budagher joined the DCIO team in 2017 at Wells Fargo Asset Management after spending 5yrs working with the DCIO team at Thornburg Investment Management in Santa Fe, NM. Joseph has spent his entire career in financial services working with specialist 401(k) plan advisors. Prior to working in asset management he owned and operated a digital marketing company that worked with small and mid-sized businesses immediately after obtaining an MBA from the R.O. Anderson School of Management. He lives for his family and friends, is an avid fan of Soccer, gaming, the outdoors, cooking and any and all things tech. You’ll catch him on the pitch, by the grill or spending time with friends and family when he’s not at his desk.

DCIO Sales Manager
Ron Cohen is head of DCIO distribution at Wells Fargo Funds. In this
role, he oversees all aspects of DCIO distribution including field sales
and working with the home offices of our various recordkeeping and
distribution firms. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2015, he was an
executive director at J.P. Morgan in its defined contribution
investment solutions group. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at DWS
Investments, where he held various roles in its defined contribution
practice, including national sales manager and head of retirement
services, overseeing the company’s entire bundled offering. He also
built out a defined contribution investment only (DCIO) practice for
its institutional business.

Nora Connerty is vice president and senior business development manager at Wells Fargo Asset Management. She began her investment industry career in 2005. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2017, she held positions with AllianceBernstein and Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. Ms. Connerty earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut.

Lia has over 20 years of industry experience in the retirement plan industry, including recordkeeping sales and defined contribution investment sales. With experience gained at Fidelity, Prudential Retirement, Merrill Lynch, and BNY Mellon, she has found her home at Wells Fargo Asset Management. She calls on retirement plan consultants on the West Coast, adding value to their practices with thought leadership and tools to enhance their clients’ 401(k) journey. She is a graduate of Colby College and has her FINRA Series 7 license as well as her C(k)P designation.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Cara spent 5 years at Legg Mason as Vice President, Regional Sales Director for the South Central territory. She also spent time at ING and began her career working for a family office. In her spare time, she is a competitive equestrian and body building enthusiast.

Reed Steinmann is a DCIO Specialist and defined contribution investment specialist for the central region at Wells Fargo Asset Management. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2015, he spent three years as an institutional retirement sales director at Lincoln Financial Group, specializing in retirement plans for nonprofit entities. From 2007 to 2012, Reed specialized in midmarket corporate retirement plans at DWS Investments. He began his investment industry career in 2006 as a financial advisor at Ameriprise Financial. Reed earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Thomas O’Connell is a DCIO specialist for the Northeast region at Wells Fargo Asset Management. He works with advisors in New England; Washington, D.C.; Maryland; Delaware; Pennsylvania; New York; and Ohio. Before joining Wells Fargo in 2015, he worked as a wholesaler at Mass Mutual Retirement Services. Earlier, he was a wholesaler and regional sales manager with ADP Retirement Services. Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Stonehill College and a master’s degree in business administration from Nichols College.
