This six-week series is an International College of Ministry course for Christian Counseling majors, as well as Theology & Ministry electives.
This important course focuses on counseling victims of sexual, emotional, and physical abuse. It addresses difficult topics that need to be openly discussed. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention says nearly half of all women and more than one in six men have experienced some form of sexual violence or abuse during their lifetime. This course is designed not only to support counselors but also to help victims heal. We will define and explore the effects of sexual abuse, domestic violence, physical abuse, and emotional abuse, along with solutions and God's path to healing.
