This week we seek to understand a series of gestures from Sweden. Performance artist Makode Aj Linde set off an international firestorm with his "Painful Cake" interactive installation at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm. For us, this is an opportunity to understand the role of cultural context versus communal context as a performative device.
