The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the importance for fire chiefs to work with their law enforcement partners to prepare for threats to their communities. In addition, federal agencies, like the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Counterterrorism Center, provide resources that fire chiefs can use. This panel discussion will examine the growth in relations between the fire and emergency service and the law enforcement community to prepare for threats to local communities. It also will identify resources that fire & emergency service leaders can use to work more closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
1. How can a fire chief develop a working relationship with their law enforcement counterpart and why is that relationship important?
2. What are federal and state tools and resources that a fire chief can use to learn about threats to their communities?
3. How can fire and emergency service leaders partner with federal, state, local, tribal and territorial law enforcement agencies?
4. How has the relationship between the fire and emergency service and law enforcement community been transformed since 9/11?
