Becoming a Digital Teacher

Friday, February 5, 2016 · 2:00 p.m. · Brasilia
About This Webinar

The webinar will address the developing and future trends in digital language learning and the application of educational technology to English language education.

What digital learning tools, apps and websites can we use to teach English better? What activities can we usefully develop with these new tools? How do we need to update and modify our classroom management and methodology?

We will look at what new tools and activity types are available. We will look at apps that students can use even if the classroom is low tech, and new ideas for using tablets if the classroom has access to them. We will look at student expectations for the use of technology and best practice for methodology.

We will look at the new digital knowledge and digital competences that language teachers need, and involve participants in group & self-assessment activities to identify their strengths and weaknesses in digital competence areas, mapping each individual participant against the Cambridge Digital Teacher Framework.
