Now that the GSEs have approved desktop valuations for purchase, appraisers need a way to collect trustworthy, verifiable data – and submit floor plans on reports! The intent of these Desktops is to get real estate firms and mortgage firms to provide measurements and floorplans upfront. But appraisers must verify that data, and what if there is no floorplan – how can you produce one quickly to fulfill the requirements of the order from a remote location?

Incenter’s vision for technology in this process is fourfold:

1. To support – not replace – the appraiser

2. Enhance and advance the role of the appraiser in the inspection

3. Increase appraiser’s capacity and speed

4. Bring unmatched veracity to the remote appraisal process

The Desktop Appraisal is an opportunity for appraisers to deliver speed and demonstrate that they should be central to the fulfillment process, and be able to verify what they are being asked to appraise. Other approaches are relying on 3rd parties to go inspect and create a floorplan – effectively separating the appraiser from the inspection. RemoteVal allows the appraiser to live inspect the property, generate a floorplan from the video data, verify an existing floorplan with its measurement tool, or have a floorplan generated for you while still knowing “how the sausage is being made.” Learn why Incenter believes the appraisal professional should be compensated at full fee for these reports as well.

Please join us for the webinar where we’ll go through the benefits of RemoteVal, explore its floorplan tool options, and how appraisers can use this groundbreaking technology to fulfill Desktop and Remote Valuations while keeping control of their role in the inspection process.
