(IC22) Instructional Course

Susan Labhard, MSN, RN has worked at SHC-Portland for over 33 years and has been in the field of Pediatrics since 1977. Susan has been a Transitions Nurse Specialist for over 15 years-heading the program to assist children through young adults in their transition to adulthood. Susan is also Chairman of the Patient/Family Education Committee. She has a BS and MS in Nursing and a BS in Child Development/Family Relations.

Susan is a seasoned national/international presenter and has several publications on the topic of transitions and sexuality for youth with disabilities. Working with the Patient Care Team, Susan is enthusiastic about helping children and young adults with child-onset conditions to maximize their potential and enhance their quality of life.
