WEBINAR DETAILS
  • About
Sheep Connect Tasmania is running a workshop on sheep enterprises for production and profit, at 9:00am on Friday 11 December. The workshop will be delivered via a 1½-hour BigMarker webinar, and will provide attendees with tools and strategies to better understand:

    - a comparison of Tasmanian sheep enterprises based on 40 years of climate data
    - how to maximise production, profit, and risk stability in your enterprise
    - the key drivers of livestock and mixed farming systems
    - the impact of a changing and more variable climate.

The webinar will also introduce Farming Forecaster, the new CSIRO-developed farm-forecasting tool that will – for the first time – offer real-time feed projections based on CSIRO modelling, soil moisture probes, and weather data, to help farmers manage stocking rates and feed budgets.

The webinar will be delivered by sheep industry specialist Phil Graham of Graham Advisory. Phil has more than 40 years' experience in the livestock industries in NSW and Tasmania, and was involved in the development and delivery of Prograze, Stockplan, and other nationally-significant decision-support tools and courses. Phil now runs Graham Advisory Pty Ltd, specialising in helping producers fine tune their livestock businesses.

The webinar is free to attend.
