Dr. Ray Self on Relationships & Issues of Life
This week's topic is:
Healing from Emotional Abuse
Presented by Dr. Ray Self and the International College of Ministry on Thursday, March 27th , 2014 at 8:00pm Eastern / 7:00pm Central.
This Free Live Web Class is approximately 60 minutes in length.
This special webinar is hosted by ICM College and presented by Dr. Ray Self, of the International College of Ministry. This is part of our ongoing Christian Counseling series Dr. Ray Self on Relationships & Issues of Life.
The purpose of this one-hour webinar is to discuss and learn about an enormous problem that affects families, communities, churches and society as a whole. Emotional abuse victims often state that the emotional pain inflicted upon them was far greater than any physical pain they may have endured. The effects of emotional abuse can be long reaching affecting a person throughout their life. Emotional abuse can be defined as any nonphysical behavior or attitude that controls, intimidates, subjugates, demeans, punishes, or isolates another person by using degradation, humiliation, or fear. Yet despite these grim facts there is hope and healing available. In the time allowed, this webinar will teach the participants about this problem as well as offer help, healing, and hope for the victims.
Twice a month, you are invited to join ICM College for this free learning and counseling hour. Each class, Dr. Self will focus on a different relationship or life issue like communicating, resolving conflicts, alcoholism, sexual abuse, and others. Following Dr. Self's presentation, attendees are encouraged to share their experiences on the night's topic and ask questions.
Dr. Self has 17 years of experience in Christian counseling and training counselors. Dr. Self will offer practical life changing ideas for dealing with the challenging issues of relationships and life.
Dr. Ray Self holds a Doctorate in Christian Psychology and a Doctorate in Theology from Jacksonville Theological Seminary.
